Garden City House Of Pancakes in Garden City Beach

A++++!! My boyfriend, 2yr old son, and I were headed to Flapjacks for our rare breakfast out. There was a wait and it was chaotic and not a good fit for our active toddler. Tried Garden City Pancake House and were EXTREMELY happy with the food, service, cleanliness, promptness of service, literally everything. Tammy, our server, was a pro at her job! We both work in the restaurant industry (server and cook), so we are pretty picky about where we eat-but I would recommend GCPH to anyone!! No wonder they've been around 30+yrs. Was shocked they don't have a higher rating, but hey, some people just like to complain 😉

Foods not bad... But definitely needs a good cleaning... And a update....

Only gave this one star to leave this review. This restaurant deserves NO stars. Most awful food I have ever had. Had sausage patties and it wasnt even cooked all the way! Disgusting. The owner didnt even care at all that her food was undercooked. Four people ordered and four people left still hungry.

Service was great. We wished they had yellow grits but was ok.

Wasn't as busy as other breakfast spots close to it. Our server was odd and the food could've been better.

Go for breakfast, it's the best meal there, but coffee is horrible. The eggs Benedict Florentine, eggs always cooked perfect, grits are good. Tammy provides great service and is always cheerful. Just wish the would change their coffee so I could give 5 stars

If you ever eat their Eggs Oscar, you'll be hooked. Basically it's like Eggs Benedict except they use a crab cake instead of an English muffin.

i recommend this for anyone, local or tourist. It's a great cozy restaurant with amazing food. Me and my family eat here quite often and we've never had a bad meal.

They should close up and sell out , terrible place to try to get breakfast , they actually had more people busting tables than they had waitresses , we were seated promptly but no one seemed to care that we sat there for 10 minutes all while watching the wait staff take care of people that came in behind us and it wasn't like we were in a corner we were sitting in the middle out in the open , we have eaten there before and the owner is RUDE and acts like he doesn't care if you patronize his restaurant or not , my stepdaughter and her boyfriend wasted two hours or more in there eating or there vacation and also said they would never go back , I hope this review finds people that are visiting the Garden City Beach area.

Bill and Penny have a classy place for an inexpensive breakfast. We love the atmosphere and the service. It’s a Southern breakfast for about $10. No more chain breakfasts for us. It’s also close to Murrells Inlet and Surfside Beach

I'm a local and first time at Garden City Pancake House. I was impressed with it. Had a new waitress and she did an outstanding job. I will go back.

Service was good. Food was just okay

Absolutely wonderful service and the food was amazing. My family of 13 went in and they sat us all together. They were very polite and prompt. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody wanting a good meal at a fair price.

Favorite breakfast place at the beach!

It was great! Our server was on time (can't remember her name...glasses and short blonde hair), food was excellent (omelettes and pancakes) coffee good and pot on the table! A little bit cold in there (take a sweater) but highly recommend!

I was too hungry to take a picture🤣. I had a veggie omelet made with eggbeaters, sliced tomatoes and whole wheat toast. It was very tasty. We have an awesome waitress, Hope. I recommend this as a good place for breakfast. They also serve lunch, but I can’t vouch for that.

Fast seating and fast service! We loved our meal and everyone ate everything on their plates. I got the grits egg bacon meal and the grits were cooked perfect. They also had the BEST toast at a restaurant I've had in a while. It was not soggy and had just the right amount of butter on it. I will return tomorrow!

I ordered the Crab Oscar with overeasy eggs, rather than poached. Still received poached eggs, way too much hollandaise sauce. Like TOO much. And the crabcakes were far from what I expected. Not seared, not baked, but breaded and fried. I suppose they come frozen. I guess for a diner like restaurant, I should've known better. But, I never had fried crab cakes like this. It was just a horrible breakfast meal, in my opinion. The servers were great, though!

Awesome local breakfast place! Great service, good breakfast food, decent prices for this area. Definitely worth a try versus the chain breakfast places. We went early, was very busy by ten a.m.
